Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance turns 90


Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance will hold a ceremony on Oct 20 to celebrate its 90th anniversary.
More than 20,000 students and alumni are expected to attend the event.
Established in 1928 by Pan Xulun, an internationally renowned accountant and educator who is known as the “founding father of modern accounting in China”, the university will hold a series of academic and cultural exchange events to commemorate its birthday, including a financial education forum and a history documents donation ceremony.
The institution, which merged with Shanghai Finance University in 2016, has three campuses in Pudong New Area and Songjiang and Xuhui districts. It presently has about 20,000 students, including 18,000 undergraduates and more than 200 graduates.
