Yangzhou reports 58 new local COVID-19 cases

Yangzhou, Jiangsu province, reported 58 new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases on Thursday, the province's highest one-day total since the start of the pandemic, according to the Jiangsu Health Commission on Friday morning.
The city has since July 20 reported 220 locally transmitted cases, with many of the patients being seniors aged 60 and above. The provincial capital Nanjing has reported 228 locally transmitted cases since July 20.
All of the patients are receiving treatment in designated hospitals, including 14 in serious condition and another two in critical condition.
