Xi addresses IOC session in Beijing

China is a promoter of the Olympic spirit and a pursuer of the Olympic ideal with concrete actions, President Xi Jinping said on Thursday, reiterating that the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, which is set to open on Friday, will act on the Olympic motto "Faster, Higher, Stronger ― Together".

Xi made the remarks when delivering a video address at the opening ceremony of the 139th Session of the International Olympic Committee.
