Xizang promotes tourism offerings in Beijing
Xizang autonomous region is home to the highest plateau on Earth, and is known as the "roof of the world". It's a mysterious and popular destination for tourists due to its towering snow mountains, vast grasslands, tranquil lakes and breathtaking views.
Promoting its splendid natural sceneries and rich cultural heritage, an event took place in Beijing, co-organized by the tourism development department of Xizang autonomous region and Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism on Jan 23.
A diversity of programs were held during the event, such as dance performances, traditional clothes, accessories, photo exhibitions, and creative cultural products displayed.
With the Chinese Spring Festival approaching, tourists are welcomed to Xizang to enjoy the rich cultural heritage of the place, according to Shi Yuhui, deputy director of the tourism development department of Xizang autonomous region.
