Zhu Min, a professor of paleontology at the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology in Beijing, was elected as a foreign member in the field of biosciences.
Professor Zhu has long been dedicated to the study of fish evolutionary biology, and has made significant contributions in several areas, including the origin of jaws, the origin and evolution of osteichthyans (bony fish), and the transition of fish to land vertebrates, according to the institute.
