'Metamorphoses' gives voice to young artists

Yu noted that the 2025 theme, "Metamorphoses" (literally "72 Transformations" in Chinese), reflects the academy's commitment to the creative transformation and innovative development of China's rich cultural heritage.

"Through the practices of today's youth and across various artistic disciplines, we see tradition reimagined and brought to life in contemporary forms," he said.

The exhibition will run till the later part of June, welcoming art lovers, educators, and the general public to explore the evolving landscape of Chinese art through the lens of its newest practitioners.
