As the peak tourist season kicks off, Southwest China's Guizhou province is enhancing its cultural and tourism offerings by upgrading scenic spots, expanding water-based activities such as rafting, and refining study tour products to welcome visitors.
During the summer high-water season, Xiaoqikong Scenic Area in Libo county captivates numerous tourists. Xu Quanli, deputy general manager of Libo Jinxin Tourism Service Co, shared that, in addition to continuing last year's popular activities like waterfall trekking and boating on Yuanyang Lake, this year's peak season will further explore the area's unique geological features to enhance visitor experiences.
The Xijiang Qianhu Miao village in Leishan county is also unfolding a vibrant ethnic cultural panorama. Shi Hengchang, manager of Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village Cultural Tourism Investment (Group) Co, noted that over 20 distinctive folk cultural activities have been planned for this summer to deepen visitor engagement.
With the arrival of summer, water-based activities have become a hotspot for tourists, and rafting spots across the province are gaining popularity. Chen Jiuhe, chairman of Guiyang Lyuwen Tourism Industry Development Co, has said that the Taoyuan River will include a leisurely "Shuangshuang drift" this year, with plans to introduce competitive rafting events soon.
The Huangguoshu × B.Duck Colorful Rafting Park – jointly created by the Hong Kong-based "B.Duck" brand and Huangguoshu Scenic Area – will open for rafting on June 15, with the whole park launching on July 1.
