Lin-gang Special Area calls for city logo with prizes

In an effort to enhance its city brand, Lin-gang Special Area in Shanghai launched a competition on June 20 to solicit designs for its city logo.
The design should incorporate elements of "Shanghai Lin-gang", and align with Lin-gang's status as a significant national strategic carrier and its position at the forefront of reform and opening-up in China.
It should reflect the region's location, industrial characteristics and future development direction, featuring a unique, avant-garde style focusing on modernity, fashion and internationalization.
The prizes are highly attractive, with a grand prize of 100,000 yuan ($13,900) and 10 creative awards of 3,000 yuan each.
To participate, designers are required to submit complete logo design drafts, editable source files, such as AI, PSD and other formats, and a detailed creative brief explaining the design concept, the meaning of certain elements, and their relevance to Lin-gang Special Area's unique characteristics.
All entries and related documents should be sent to linganglogo@163.com.
This is not merely a creative competition but also a significant opportunity to shape the contemporary image of Lin-gang Special Area, organizers said. Lin-gang is rolling out the red carpet for design talent to contribute their innovative ideas.
