Orchestra marks key anniversary

The Beijing Symphony Orchestra took to the stage under the baton of conductor Jin Ye at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing on Thursday.
During the first half of the concert, the Russian-born virtuoso violinist Vadim Repin played Sergei Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No 2 in G Minor, Op 63 with Beijing Symphony Orchestra.

During the second half of the concert, the symphony orchestra performed Dmitri Shostakovich's Symphony No 7 in C Major Leningrad, Op 60.
The concert, part of the 2025 season program of Beijing Symphony Orchestra, marked the 80th anniversary of victory in the World Anti-Fascist War, as well as celebrating the 76th anniversary of China-Russia diplomatic relations.
