Shanghai Hongqiao service center upgrades for overseas professionals

The Shanghai Hongqiao One-Stop Service Center for Overseas Talents has recently upgraded its facilities to enhance its services for overseas professionals.
The center now provides a range of new services, including medical examination appointments, broadband installation, and driver's license exchanges. A significant improvement is the integration with the health center of Shanghai Customs, introducing a streamlined process for entry health certificates that dramatically reduces the time required.
Before the upgrade, foreign professionals had to visit the customs office separately to manage tasks such as obtaining medical examination reports. This step has now been eliminated, allowing overseas professionals to undergo entry medical examinations without appointments, queues, or additional visits. The center can directly access examination results from the system to expedite the processing of work and residence permits.
Somebody who has recently taken advantage of the center's newfound efficiency is Kirill, a Russian national, who is starting a job at a clothing trading company in China. He completed his employment-related procedures at the center in just over half an hour, benefiting from the streamlined and efficient services.

Gendre Nathanael, who has been interning at the center for several months, noted that the center is actively exploring ways to make it more convenient for foreign nationals to manage their affairs, thereby improving the overall ease of working and living in Shanghai.
