Colonel Ludlow: I don't want to see him.

Tristan: Father?

Colonel Ludlow: I don't wanna see him.

Alfred: Tristan, I'm sorry. I'm so very sorry. Father won't see me. Even now?

妙語(yǔ)佳句，活學(xué)活用

1. Hold him down.

把一個(gè)人按住要怎么說(shuō)？就是hold one down。比如一群人開玩笑，要把某個(gè)人按住了癢癢他，就可以說(shuō)：Hold him down!

2. plead guilty

“服罪，承認(rèn)罪行”的意思。這是一個(gè)法律術(shù)語(yǔ)。在嚴(yán)格的法律用語(yǔ)中，可以說(shuō)一個(gè)人 plead guilty 或 plead not guilty，但不能用 plead innocent。然而在非法律文章中 plead innocent 卻有廣泛的使用。我們來(lái)看一個(gè)例子：

Over one's head 的意思是 to a position higher than one's head。這里 Alfred 的意思是Tristan 做得出格了，got in a position he can't handle。
