Children's ability to act in cases of emergency can be truly impressive. A seven-year-old boy, surnamed Lei, called the medical emergency numbers, his father, who was away for a business trip, and his teacher in rapid succession, after finding his mother had fainted at home in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. The boy was so calm that the telephone operator of the emergency line thought he was making a prank call at first.
