We have heard that in business presentations it is important to find ways to engage 吸引 with your audience. In this programme our language expert Simon Cuddihy introduces some different strategies for doing this to our regular panel of Chinese student volunteers.

You will hear an English clip from a business presentation and then a discussion between Simon, Jean and the students.

Imagine that you are doing a presentation to a room of foreign investors 投資商。Your presentation is about the virtues 優(yōu)勢(shì) of your hometown as a possible manufacturing base 生產(chǎn)基地。

• Jot down（快速）寫下 some ideas about the different benefits your town might have for various industries.
• Now think about your language. Does Chinese have any sayings 名言，俗語(yǔ) that support what you want to say?
• Now think about your own past. Do you have any personal feelings or stories that are relevant to 與…有關(guān) what you are trying to say?

關(guān)于 Simon Cuddihy

Simon 是一位擁有十年英語(yǔ)教學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)的英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言專家。在過(guò)去的五年里，Simon的主要授課領(lǐng)域?yàn)楦叩冉逃械膶W(xué)術(shù)英語(yǔ)。Simon 目前在倫敦政治與經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院任教，主教英語(yǔ)書寫技巧。

關(guān)于董征

董征多年來(lái)一直在BBC國(guó)際臺(tái)擔(dān)任節(jié)目制作和主持工作。她在中英商貿(mào)界也是頗有影響的一位人物。董征在英國(guó)曾先后擔(dān)任過(guò)倫敦證券交易所上 市公司的中國(guó)業(yè)務(wù)總監(jiān)、PLUS上市投資公司集團(tuán)業(yè)務(wù)總監(jiān)等。董征目前在一家中英投資貿(mào)易咨詢業(yè)務(wù)公司擔(dān)任總經(jīng)理。
