探索英語：語言和文化免費在線公開課

幫助英語學習者了解英國文化，探索當代英語，提高英語能力的免費在線公開課，2015年6月22日再次開放。

此公開課適合正在學習英語，并希望更深入了解英國文化，提高英語技能的人士。課程分為六個部分，涉獵六個主題，如：英語的全球化、環(huán)境保護、企業(yè)家精神和文學等。每部分大約需要學習兩小時，在課程開放期間，隨時可以參與進來。

開始時間：2015年6月22日

我們在每部分的課程中，通過視頻短片，引入不同的話題。短片都在英國拍攝完成，可以有助于提高聽力水平，因為片中人物都會用純正英語直接講述，對提高英語聽力和口語都有所幫助。公開課并不配備固定的教學大綱，而是從一開始就通過實際應用的語境學習。小測驗和討論環(huán)節(jié)將貫穿整個課程，幫助學生檢驗自己的理解程度并不斷練習。在每周結束時，會讓學生寫一篇短文，講一講自己對于本周話題的感受和收獲。

英國文化協(xié)會在網(wǎng)上學習方面的雄厚經(jīng)驗將為課程提供充分的質(zhì)量保障。課程結束后可提供課程結業(yè)證明（注：課程結業(yè)證明為付費服務）。

Exploring English: Language and Culture

This course is for people who are learning English and who are interested in finding out more about British culture and improving their English language skills.

Starting date: 22 June 2015

The course will use short videos to present six different topics, including English as a global language, the environment, entrepreneurship and literature. Filmed in Great Britain, these videos will help you to develop your listening skills as you watch authentic examples of people speaking English.

The course does not follow a language syllabus but takes authentic English in context as its starting point. Short quizzes and discussions will help you measure your understanding and practise your English throughout the course. At the end of each topic you will be asked to describe your own feelings and experiences about that topic in a short piece of writing.

The course draws on the British Council’s expertise in online learning and will give you the opportunity to purchase a Statement of Participation.
