Going bananas? When I say, you’re bananas, that means I think you’re crazy ... in a good way or a bad way.

Here’s a ‘bad way’ example: “Joey thinks he can still get us free tickets, even though the announcer just said they were all sold out.” “That Joey! He’s gone bananas.”

Here’s a ‘good’ way example: “Wow, my friends are going bananas for that new Planet of the Apes movie. They love that movie.”

You can go bananas, or you can be bananas. Example: “He’s bananas about that pretty girl.” US polls each year report that bananas are everyone’s favorite fruit. If you tell an American you don’t like bananas, she might say, “You don’t like bananas? You must be bananas!”

當(dāng)我說you’re bananas（你瘋了），有可能是褒義也有可能是貶義。

貶義的例子：“喬伊認(rèn)為他還能幫我們搞到免費(fèi)票，盡管廣播里說票已經(jīng)賣完了?！薄澳莻€喬伊啊！他已經(jīng)瘋啦”。

褒義的例子：“哇，我的朋友為那部《猿族崛起》瘋狂了。他們愛死那部片子了。”

你可以go bananas，你也可以be bananas。比如：“He’s bananas about that pretty girl”（他為那個女孩瘋狂了）。每年美國民意調(diào)查都顯示香蕉是每個人最喜歡的水果。如果你告訴一個美國人你不喜歡香蕉，她可能會說“你不喜歡香蕉？You must be bananas（你肯定瘋啦）?！?/p>
