Shanghai Grand Theatre's 'Lady White Snake' to debut in New York


Lady White Snake, a dance production by Shanghai Grand Theatre will make its debut in the United States at the Summer for the City- Shanghai Day event at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York.
Three shows of the dance theater's re-interpretation of a classic Chinese legend will be held at the David H. Koch Theater, one of New York City's iconic venues on July 26 and 27.
Infused with the ingenuity of Eastern stage aesthetics, the performance will showcase the artistic vision and cultural vitality of contemporary Chinese performing arts to a global audience. Ticket sales are now open.
At the invitation of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the "Summer for the City — Shanghai Day" event co-hosted by the Center for China Shanghai International Arts Festival and Lincoln Center will take place on July 26.
With over 10 performances and activities, US audiences will experience the original vitality and cultural imagination of Chinese artists. The event aims to promote international cooperation and people-to-people exchange through cultural interaction.
