Cities and their administrations, being closer to the citizens, have rich toolkits and capabilities that allow them to achieve many of the international goals and strategies to address today's challenges, which are global in nature but often require local solutions.

With a solar energy system, water-saving solutions and the full coverage of roof greening, the core area of the CBD was fully designed in a green way. Its centralized energy supply system helps save 5,000 to 7,000 metric tons of coal annually.
