“十一”黃金周“近尾聲”

今天是“十一”黃金周的第六天，“十一”長假近尾聲。隨著黃金周的即將結(jié)束，國內(nèi)游及出境游的價格紛紛大跳水。《中國日報》的報道如下：
Major travel agencies had cut prices of domestic group tours by an average 30 percent as of yesterday, as the weeklong National Day holiday approaches its conclusion.
報道說的是，“十一”黃金周已近尾聲，各大旅行社紛紛調(diào)價，截至昨天，國內(nèi)旅游路線的降價幅度達到了平均30％。
“進入尾聲”、“接近尾聲”是中文中十分常見的說法，意思是“即將結(jié)束”。在英文中，我們可用approach its conclusion來表達“某事接近尾聲”。例如：As the semester approaches its conclusion, what do you think of your performance during this period? （這學(xué)期已近尾聲，你對自己這學(xué)期的表現(xiàn)有何評價？）
Conclusion有“結(jié)尾”的意思，比如：The lovers are united at the conclusion of the movie.(電影結(jié)束時，這對情侶終成眷屬。)
